I've been a TSA adviser for over 20 years and have have enjoyed blogging. I also am the lead mentor for our VEX Robotics team. I encourage parents to view what the students are doing.

Here is most eveyone assocaited with Troop 289. We are at the admin building Camp Ottari on our first day of summer camp.

Welcome to Troop 289 from Luray, VA

Greeting to all scouters out there. This is the first ever blog for Troop 289 hosted by Luray United Methodist Church. Our scoutmaster is Richard Holder. We have many Assistant Scoutmasters and about 30 active scouts. I'm not sure yet how we might use this blog, except maybe to just have FUN and record some of our adventures as time goes by.

I'm Ron Vickers and am currently at my work producing the annual troop calendar. This year it is better than ever. Each month has at least 3 full color photos of troop or individual activity. The laser printed pages are top bound with a comb to make it easy to leave on the page one desires.

Today is exciting for me since I just set up an audioblog account. I should be able to phone in audio from anywhere I go with any phone I have at hand. I have not tried this yet but it looks promising. I also downloaded the MSord add on to this laptop. If possible I'll post each page of the claendar and other info we find important to share.
